The Savoy Players were formed on 15th April 2016.

The members of the company are talented individuals from the Rhondda Valleys, aged 10+.

Rehearsals take place on a Wednesday evening between 4.00pm and 6.00pm, with the aim being to stage several productions per year, ranging from variety shows to musicals. Performances will be staged in The Savoy Theatre - their own professional venue.

The Savoy Players enables people to show off their individual talents, whilst also working as a close-knit company. As well as performing, members learn and gain experience in all aspects of theatre and the performing arts (including helping with backstage and technical theatre if they wish).

 

Membership is free to all those wishing to join, but is subject to an informal audition.

 

At present, The Savoy Players is for ages 10 to 16, however, we will be auditioning for the older members 17+ later in 2016 when the company is better established.
